Jamshedpur, June 28, 2024: Urban Services (Tata Steel) organized a special Mushaira event at Dhaktidih Community Center Hall to pay tribute to the renowned Urdu poet and literary figure, Rashid Anwar Rashid.

Event Inauguration

The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Keshav Kumar Ranjan (Senior Area Manager, Urban Services, Tata Steel) and honored guest Dr. Mohammad Reyaz (Principal, Karim City College). The convener of the program, Dr. Hasan Imam Malik (Manager, Health and Wellness, Tata Steel), provided the introductory remarks.

Tribute to Rashid Anwar Rashid

In the first part of the program, guests shared their thoughts and paid homage to Rashid Anwar Rashid. Mrs. Gurubari Hembram (Senior Manager, Urban Services, Tata Steel Foundation) delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Yahya Ibrahim and Dr. Akhtar Azad highlighted Rashid Anwar Rashid's life and literary contributions.

Chief Guest Mr. Keshav Kumar Ranjan emphasized, "Urban Services Tata Steel is committed to the development and preservation of art, culture, and literature. Organizing such events reflects our dedication."

The Mushaira

The second part of the program was the Mushaira, presided over by the renowned poet Mr. Anwar Adeeb. Fifteen poets presented their works, including Ahmed Badr, Badre Alam Khalish, Mehtab Anwar, Gauhar Aziz, Rizwan Aurangabadi, Nazir, Saddam Ghani, Safiullah Safi, Farhan Khan Farhan, Saqlain Mushtaq, Saif Ali Saif, Safdar Haroon, Shoaib Akhtar, and Sarfaraz Shad.

Gauhar Aziz gracefully conducted the Mushaira. Chief Guest Mr. Keshav Kumar Ranjan also announced the initiation of an annual award named after Dr. Rashid Anwar Rashid, to be given to a promising young poet. This year, the award will be presented to Saqlain Mushtaq.
